Seville was hot. Really, really hot. We had heard that we were going to be there on the hottest day of the year but we braved it anyway. I'm happy we did but the heat got to me.
We got there on Friday afternoon and headed straight into town, we first went the Alcazar which was incredible. So much detail and color. I loved it.
We then went to Parque de Maria Lusia and Plaza de Espana. It was nice for the kids to run around and take a dip in the huge fountain. We were thoroughly exhausted and hungry so we headed to our hotel to check in.

A much needed cool down |
The next morning we got an early start and took a walk "down by the river" (if you're reading this and know what SNL skit this is from then I love you even more than I thought). We saw the Plaza de Toros and went into the Torre del Oro, where Nick and Andrew had a little photo shoot on the roof. Then we went up to the Cathedral which is enormous and saw Columbus' (supposed) tomb. Afterward we grabbed somellunch ad had planned on going to the barrio de Santa Cruz, which is the Jewish quarter but the heat (51 degrees celcius is 123 degrees fahrenheit) had caught up to us and we decided to take it easy and head back to the hotel.
The next few photos are of Andrew and Nick's "photo shoot" on top of the tower.

Sadie at the end of a long hot day. |
We had a great time in Seville and although didn't see all we wanted we saw all the top sights and with two small kids and 120 degree heat I think we did pretty good.

Gorgeous pics!!
123 degrees? I thought summer in Spain was supposed to be the most gorgeous thing in the world b- I read that in a book recently. That sounds somewhere nearer Hades than any of us want to go.
