Very Funny

The first time I saw Gov. Palin I said that she looked exactly like Tina Fey and I couldn't wait for this.

I gave in

Finally after months and months of hearing about these books I gave in and read them. I wasn't planing on it because for some weird reason I really didn't want to read them even though everyone said how much they loved them.
A couple of weeks ago I was at the Onken's house and Debi was reading them and she offered them to me. I couldn't resist. After 9 months of reading about pregnancy and baby I needed some kind of entertainment.

So, the verdit is that they are......... good. Not great and deffenitly not the best thing I've ever read but the author succeds in taking you into this other world and she takes your mind out of reality. Which I like now and then. So, long story short I would recommend these books but I wouldn't make them out to be the best thing ever because you will be dissopointed if thats what you expect.

P.S.
I was a little dissapointed at the end of the last book. I was looking forward to some gore.

This is incredible

It all started when I read
this article. I saw the words "John Muir" and it reminded me that I really didn't know anything about Mr. Muir. So I opened up Wikipedia  and started reading about John Muir. But then I came to the part about Muir's studies of the "...distribution and ecology of isolated groves of Giant Sequoia..." and I remembered that I had always wanted to learn more about Giant Sequoias. So I opened up that article and found something that blew my mind:

"The oldest known Giant Sequoia based on ring count is 3,500 years old."

!!!!3,500!!! holy crap!!!!

That would mean that this tree was "born" (are trees born? maybe "germinated") roughly in the year 1,500 B.C. So I looked up "1,500 BC" in Wikipedia and came up with this article which says, among other things, that "...according to Simcha Jacobovich," the Biblical Exodus took place at this time. The Exodus!!! But I wondered what the Church's date for the Exodus was so I looked in the Chronological Tables in the Bible Dictionary. Unfortunately we're not really given an estimate for the Exodus, but one of the next closest things was

1063: David anointed by Samuel.
1055: David king in Hebron.

Which means that this tree was already roughly 500 years old by the time David slew Goliath!

I seriously almost cried it was so incredible.

A talent

This is Nick. (Not in the photo--the author). And this is my talent.

Jennie-O turkey dogs on toasted white buns with light mayonnaise and medium cheddar cheese on the bottom, grilled hard salami on the sides, and garnished with sweet pickle relish, peperoncinis, pomegranate mango chipotle sauce, and ketchup.

That is all. Thank you.

EDIT: I use a turkey dog to make it healthy.

Tummy Trouble

My belly is getting in the way. I keep smashing it into walls and getting attacked by the can opener(don't ask). But I draw the line at being burned. I was trying to be a good wife and make dinner, but when I went to drain the pasta from the pot I got a second degree burn. I should have taken some earlier pictures when it was really gross and bubbly but I thought I would spare you. It now looks like someone kissed my belly with red lipstick on.
